Marcia Malsar, a Brazilian athlete who competed in the 1984 Paralympic Games, lost hold of the torch while carrying it during a section of last night's event.

Undeterred, Malsar calmly got back to her feet as two staff members helped her with the torch and the crowd cheered and clapped.

The Paralympic Games' official Twitter and Facebook accounts shared the video with the caption: "What defines us is how well we rise after falling".
