Christmas means fighting with your family about what to watch after a day of incessant eating and unwrapping presents (best case scenario). We've narrowed that list to some of our favorites, and only the ones available on streaming. Merry Christmas, ya' filthy animals.

Love Actually - Netflix

Celebrate the holiday with this classic Christmas rom-com, and speak up if you want to watch it again and again (because on Christmas, you tell the perhaps tipsy truth).

Home Alone - HBO

What captures the Yuletide spirit more than abandoning a child and booby trapping a suburban home to life-threatening scale?

The Santa Clause - Netflix

Remember those complicated feelings you had about Tim Allen when you saw that he was a bad dad but only because he was meant to be Santa?

The Muppet Christmas Carol - HBO

It might seem bold to say, but this movie is the best combination in existence of Muppets, MIchael Caine and Charles Dickens. Caine is an excellent Scrooge guided through the Christmases of time by his unlikely animatronic companions to discover the true meaning of the holiday.

While You Were Sleeping - Netflix

If you haven't seen Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman's ode to familial Christmas chaos, change that this year. When Bullock is mistaken for the girlfriend of a comatose Peter Gallagher, his family (Pullman plays the brother) welcomes her into their home for the holidays.

White Christmas - Netflix

This 1954 film has everything: Music, romance, comedy -- and of course, Vermont.

Bad Santa - HBO

What better home than HBO for this foul-mouthed, alcoholic and thieving Santa? Revel in the last film appearances of John Ritter and Bernie Mac alongside Billie Bob Thornton's caustic Santa and Lauren Graham as Sue.

Miracle on 34th street - Netflix

This classic 1947 film is so full of holiday spirit that it's still got plenty to give, even decades later. Curl up with a hot chocolate and any number of Christmas cliches -- for this one, they works, and always will.

Scrooged - Netflix

Of course the modern-day (or 1988-vintage) Scrooge is a jaded TV executive, because who better to embody the shallow soullessness of our times? Murray's signature deadpan makes you wonder if Scrooge is weirdly charming or if all of Murray's other characters are assholes...a debate that will rage for Christmases to come.

A Christmas Story - TBS

It's not streaming anywhere, but per tradition, TBS will air 24 hours of A Christmas Storythroughout Christmas Day.
